French soprano FAUSTINE DE MONES made her operatic debut at the age of 15 at the Opéra-Théâtre de Limoges, originating the lead soprano role in Isabelle Aboulker’s Les Fables enchantées. Recent engagements include the role of Amy March in the NYC premiere of Adamo’s Little Women, her Carnegie Hall debut in Weill Recital Hall; a featured soloist appearance with Radio France Musique; a guest artist performance at the Givenchy show for the opening of New York Fashion Week, directed by Marina Abramović.She has performed with opera companies in North America, Europe, and Israel. In England, she sang the title role in Haendel’s Semele with the Benslow Music Festival and Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni with Longborough Festival Opera YA on tour.
Her performance of the title role in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas at the Aldeburgh Festival, conducted by Christian Curnyn, was praised by The Guardian for its “grace and natural expressivity.”
Now based in Berlin, Faustine will next be heard as Naiad in Strauss’s Ariadne auf Naxos with the Berlin Opera Group, and as part of the Alvarez Young Artist 2017 for Garsington Opera, where she will cover the role of Iris in their production of Semele.
Israeli-born pianist DANIEL SEROUSSI graduate of the Buchman-Mehta School of Music, Tel Aviv University, and the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin, is an active recitalist, chamber music player and teacher based in Berlin. He was a prize-winner in the Prix Amadeo piano competition, Aachen (2010), and, together with violinist Stefan Hempel, in the Duo Schubert and Modern Music competition, Graz, Austria (2009).
He has appeared as a soloist with the Israel Symphony Orchestra, Moscow Symphony Orchestra, Folkwang Chamber Orchestra, Essen, and Echo Ensemble, Berlin, and in festivals in Spain, Argentina and Germany. Daniel lives and works in Berlin.
